R12 New Features

Here are the high level New features available in R12 from an Apps DBA perspective.

1. Size of the installation has increased.
Prod requires around 75 Gb
Vision requires around 165 Gb

2. New Top, by name INST_TOP has been introduced, which is the
place for Configuration files and Log files.

The Filesystem Layout has changed.

3. New Application Server 10g (10.1.2 & 10.1.3) has come in place of
9iAS.

4. OC4J has replaced the Jserv.

5. Developer 10g has been introduced in the place of Developer 6i.

6. Client Plugin has been changed to Sun JRE(1.5) replacing the old
Jinitiator.
